    • We are producers and processors of prunes, the emblematic product of Lot et Garonne. We cultivate Ente plum trees on approximately 15 hectares and we ensure all the processing operations of the Ente Prune to make soft Prunes.

At the Ferme et Musée du Pruneau, we have always made it a point of honour to produce quality prunes, respecting traditions and our terroir. Until now, our prunes were marketed under the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Pruneaux d'Agen. However, we have decided to move away from this designation for several important reasons:

      1. Preserving our artisanal independence
The PGI imposes strict specifications that do not always correspond to our artisanal and family approach to production. We wish to maintain total freedom in our cultivation, drying and processing methods, in order to guarantee prunes that fully reflect our know-how and our terroir.
      2. Promoting our local identity
Our farm is located in Lafitte-sur-Lot, in the heart of Lot-et-Garonne, an emblematic region of prunes. By leaving the PGI , we have the opportunity to highlight our attachment to our territory and to offer a product that proudly bears the identity of our farm and our valley.
      3. Guarantee total traceability
By freeing ourselves from the constraints of the PGI, we can communicate more about our environmentally friendly cultivation practices and our commitment to local and responsible production.
      4. Offer an even more authentic product
By moving away from industrial standards and the administrative constraints of the PGI, we have the possibility of offering prunes with their own taste identity, enhanced by our artisanal drying method and our traditional know-how.

This decision is part of our desire to remain faithful to our values: authenticity , quality and attachment to our land . Our prunes retain all their excellence, with the guarantee that they are produced, processed and sold directly on the farm, without intermediaries.

We now produce Pruneau du Lot in homage to the Lot River that surrounds our farm. True to our quality approach, it is made naturally, without any chemical preservatives.

So, you will find in our shop open all year round, our natural Pruneaux du Lot. But also stuffed Pruneaux, coated Pruneaux, Pavés Agenais (a prune paste coated with different chocolates, with or without hazelnut pieces). Different prune creams will satisfy your taste buds. Without forgetting the flagship product of Lot-et-Garonne, the famous Pruneaux à l'Armagnac. "Homemade recipes" of Pruneaux à l'Eau de vie or Whisky, terrines and other delicacies will also whet your appetite.

For 6 years we have also been producing strawberries above ground, we grow Gariguette and Charlotte from the end of February to the end of October. Our sweet, juicy and fragrant strawberries are also produced with the greatest respect for the environment.
Our farm is of High Environmental Value and we cultivate our plums using organic farming.
As we are passionate about our profession, we created the Prune Museum, unique in Lot et Garonne, to tell the story of the Plum and the Prune from the 12th century to today.

Very good time, museum which teaches us everything there is to know about the ente plum, its cultivation from yesterday to the present day. Tasting at the end of the visit, shop full of good products. Little extra, twinning with the hazelnut museum!
